Stress & Anxiety
Stress and anxiety come in many forms: they may be linked to specific situations such as public speaking, taking exams or visiting the dentist. They are often present in social situations such as meeting new people or going to a work event. Symptoms might be physical such as blushing, sweating or trembling. Many clients believe that their stress and anxiety is part of them and that they are simply made that way. Hypnotherapy can help clients recognise the onset of stress, understand its causes and effects on the body and the mind and to develop strategies which help them to deal with it and get beyond it. Certain physical effects of long-term stress and anxiety including IBS, eczema and psoriasis can also benefit from hypnotherapy. Difficulty in managing emotions may also be at the root of some stress and anxiety and hypnotherapy has a number of different techniques to help people who feel at the mercy of their feelings.


Fears & Phobias
Social anxiety, fear of public speaking, phobias (fear of certain animals, fear of flying are common examples) can all be effectively treated using a combination of CBT techniques and hypnosis.
